Athens Stock Exchange opening: Big decline
Equity prices were dropping on Tuesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 1.56 percent, standing at 599.37 points at 11.10 am and turnover at 8.65 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 1.46 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 2.79 percent.
On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Banks (+5.55 percent), Personal and Household Products (+1.10 percent).
The heaviest losses were in Commerce (-2.85 percent) and in Telecoms (-2.05 percent).
Of the stocks traded, 16 were up, 32 were down and 6 were unchanged.
