FYROM leader welcomes Frontex’s participation in patrolling Greek border
The Prime Minister of FYROM, Nikola Gruevski, welcomed on Friday the extension of Frontex’s activities in his country’s borders with Greece, saying FYROM has been asking for some time for its presence in the border.
“It is positive that Frontex is coming. We’ve been asking and insisting on Frontex to come to the Greek border for a long time, to strengthen border security on the other side (the Greek side), because for a long time there was no security on that side and the entire burden fell on the shoulders of our police,” he said.
