EU Commissioner for Migration and Internal Affairs Dimitris Avramopoulos on Friday stressed the importance of the EU Internal Ministers meeting later in the day.

“Time is up. Today is the time to deliver on the issues of migration and security,” said the Greek Commissioner, noting that the aim of the meeting is to “commit the member states that there will be results on the issues: PNR, terrorism, hotspots, relocation, Europol.”

“I expect much in the spirit of accountability, and the prevalence of European spirit during our current discussions,” Avramopoulos said and concluded: “It is the moment of decision. We had many meetings on these issues. But today is the most critical one.”
