One woman dead and two people missing near Farmakonisi

A boat carrying six migrants overturned northeast of Farmakonisi island in the eastern Aegean on Thursday.

The Greek coast guard is conducting a search and rescue operation, while officers have already saved two men and a 12-year-old girl.

The coast guard also retrieved the body of a woman who, according to initial information, was the wife of one of the migrants and the mother of the 12-year-old girl
