Despite the tremendous difficulties and the problems of the past, the government meets the needs of the Greeks that voted for it, State Minister Alekos Flambouraris said in an interview with public broadcaster ERT TV late on Monday.
He praised the cooperation with the Independent Greeks (ANEL) and considered that “there will be no problem with any issue that needs to pass in Parliament.”

Flambouraris expressed his disappointment over the way that other political leaders handled the recent meeting and noted that “it was not the intention
of the prime minister or the government to trap anyone,” while adding that “the people understand the impasses of the opposition parties.”
Regarding the social security reforms, he said that the government’s red line is to avoid cuts in main pensions.

The State Minister underlined that the government wants to conclude reforms in the social security and tax systems as soon as possible so that the evaluation proceeds and the debate on the debt settlement begins.
