Dep. FM Amanatidis meets Bulgarian, Austrian Ambassadors
Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis held two separate meetings with the Bulgarian and Austrian Ambassadors to Greece at the ministry on Friday.
In his meeting with Bulgarian envoy Emilia Ivanova Kraleva, the two officials expressed their satisfaction at the excellent level of relations between the two countries; relations that, as noted, reflect the existing cooperation on the bilateral, regional and international levels. They also exchanged views on the prospects for further enhancing and deepening bilateral educational and cultural relations.
During the second meeting with Austrian Ambassador Andrea Ikić-Böhm, discussion centered mainly on current developments in refugee influxes, as well as on the course of the implementation of our country’s economic reform programme, regarding which the Austrian Ambassador expressed her appreciation of the progress that has been made in recent months.
The Austrian Ambassador also congratulated our country on the election of Dimitris Raikos to the UN Appeals Tribunal and noted the positive contribution of the Conference on “Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East” to the interfaith dialogue.
Finally, ways were sought to further expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of educational and cultural relations.
