Tsipras to meet President Pavlopoulos, Russian official
President Prokopis Pavlopoulos will meet Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the Presidential Mansion on Friday at 10.00 (local time).
Moreover, Tsipras will brief Pavlopoulos on his trip to Turkey, developments on the refugee crisis and on the implementation of Greece’s agreement with its lenders, his office said in a press release.
Later, at noon, the premier will hold a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Arkady Dvorkovich, at Maximos Mansion.
Meanwhile, the development of closer relations between Greece and Russian at the level of prefectures in the fields of tourism, trade, energy and investments was discussed in a meeting between Interior and Administration Reconstructions Minister Panagiotis Kouroumblis with the Russian Federation’s Ambassador to Greece Andrey Maslov, on Thursday.
The minister received the Russian envoy on the occasion of the designation of 2016 as the ‘Greece – Russia Year ‘and briefed him on the establishment of an institution for the cooperation between the prefectures of the two countries for the years to come.
Maslov said 15 Russian journalists are expected to visit Athens in the coming period who, along with the three correspondents of Russian media, will witness and then write about Greece’s potential in various fields of tourism and investments.
Earlier, Maslov met with Alternate Minister for Migration Policy Yiannis Mouzalas with whom he discussed the refugee issue.
