PM Tsipras to leave for Istanbul on Tuesday
The refugee crisis and the safety conditions in Europe as well as the bilateral relations will dominate Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ talks on Wednesday in Ankara.
The Greek prime minister will leave on Monday for Istanbul and at 20:30 will attend along with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu the football match between the national teams of Greece and Turkey.
On Wednesday morning, Tsipras will meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos (Bartholomew) and afterwards (10:30) he will leave for Ankara.
At 12:00 Tsipras will meet in private with Davutoglu. The talks will continue with a broader composition at a working lunch at 14:30 and afterwards the two top officials will make statements.
During his stay in Ankara, the Greek premier will have a series of meetings with party leaders and with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan; however, the exact time of their meeting is still pending.
