Ε. Meimarakis: New Democracy will not vote for tax measures
New Democracy (ND) leader Evangelos Meimarakis late on Thursday said that the main opposition party will not vote for any tax measures provided that he remains in the leadership.
Meimarakis, who was speaking at a party event at Volos, Magnesia, said that SYRIZA has created a climate of uncertainty and instability adding that the economy has declined.
“New Democracy did not vote for the measures. It voted for the aims and timetables. The government itself is responsible for the way they will be implemented … New Democracy will not vote for tax measures,” he underlined.
