Sotheby’s auctions internationally acclaimed Greek artists works

The works of 15 acclaimed Greek artists of the 20th century will be auctioned by Sotheby’s in London on December 2.

This will be the second Sotheby’s auction in 2015 of contemporary works of art from several countries of Europe, north Africa, the Middle East, Iran and Turkey.

The auction “A Different Perspective” will include paintings and scultures by Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika, Theodoros Stamos, Giorgos Bouzianis, Alecos Fassianos, Konstantinos Maleas, Periklis Lytras, Giorgos Zoggolopoulos, Chryssa Vardea and Lykourgos Kogevinas.

Hadjikyriakos-Ghika’s painting “Light through foliage” is expected to be sold between 109,000-163,000 euros while Alecos Fassianos’ “The return” is estimated to reach 81,500-109,000 euros.
