The cooperation between Greece and Egypt in key development areas was decided at the meetings of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Minister Christos Spirtzis with his Egyptian counterpart Saad El-Geyoushi and Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker.

Spirtzis was paying an official three-day visit to Cairo.

More specifically, they decided the cooperation of experts in issues regarding the ports of both countries and discussed the need for unity in dealing with the cruise, railways, urban transport and road safety in the eastern Mediterranean.

In a meeting with the Egyptian Electricity Minister, they examined possibilities for broader energy cooperation. The Egyptian side was particularly interested in the field of energy saving as well as investments in renewable energy and cogeneration.
