SYRIZA delegation meets with ambassador of Palestine Toubassi

SYRIZA central committee secretary Panos Rigas and the member of the Political Secretariat responsible for the Foreign and European Policy and the International Relations Yiannis Bournou received on Thursday the ambassador of Palestine Marwan Toubassi and an embassy delegation.

According to a SYRIZA announcement “The ambassador of Palestine described the condition that prevails in the Palestinian territory, the repression of the Palestinians and the increasing authoritarianism of Israel and Israel army’s lethal violence against the settlers.”

The two parts discussed the promotion of the official recognition of the Palestinian State by Greece as well as the development of cooperation between Greek and Palestinian municipalities and universities as well as an official visit of a SYRIZA delegation to the Palestinian territory.
