Actor Costas Tsakonas dies
Best known for his appearances in 1980s and 1990s silver screen and videotape comedies, actor Costas Tsakonas died in Athens on Thursday after a battle with cancer. He was 72 years old.
Born in 1943 in Athens, Tsakonas studied theater at the Leonidas Trivizas drama school in Piraeus and the Veakis theater school in Athens before taking on leading roles in cinema, theater and television.
His funeral will take place at the Argyroupoli cemetery on Saturday at 11 a.m.
