EU Commissioner Moscovici in Athens
European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici pays a two-day visit in Athens in order to meet with government officials and be briefed on the implementation of the Greek programme.
Moscovici will meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the Maximos Mansion in the afternoon.
At 18:30 he will meet with Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and Alternate Finance Minister George Chouliarakis.
Moscovici underlined in a recent interview that the Greek government needs to take difficult decisions by the end of the year in order to continue to receive funds from its international creditors.
“There are challenges, there are difficult decisions that need to be taken by the end of the year,” he said.
