Convicted November 17 terrorist Christodoulos Xeros has filed suit against authorities in charge of Nigrita Prison, where he is serving multiple life sentences for murder, Greece’s Lifo magazine reported on Tuesday.

Xeros, who absconded from furlough at the start of the year and was recaptured several months later, claims in his suit that he is being subjected to torture and humiliation by staff at the northern Greece penitentiary.

“I am completely alone in the yard every day, without any communication whatsoever, and even my food is left outside my cell, with the result that I have presented serious psychological disorders and fears for my life, as well as denying all food and drink,” Xeros reportedly claims in his suit.

The convicted terrorist claims that he has been subjected to intimidating remarks by the prison’s director, including “you’re going to die here, in your cell, alone.” He adds that “this inhumane behavior, in combination with my complete and total isolation, has had a very negative effect on my already poor mental health.”
